Benjamin L. Anderson, CFA, ASA
Benjamin L. Anderson is an expert in the valuation of all types of businesses and securities, including those of both private and public companies, for privatization, financing, merger and acquisition, litigation, and taxation purposes. He has valued common stocks on a majority and minority interest basis, preferred stocks, general and limited partnership interests, debt instruments, and intangible assets. Mr. Anderson has testified in court and in deposition.
He is responsible for the project management of major engagements, involving multiple premises of value. He has appraisal experience in numerous industries, including real estate, transportation, chemicals and petrochemicals, metal products, construction, newspapers, apparel, printing, and retailing. Mr. Anderson has worked with businessmen (and their advisors) from small, closely-held companies to large, publicly-traded corporations. In addition, he has performed valuation and privatization consulting engagements in Chile, Brazil, Bolivia, Poland, Guyana and Uganda.
Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Anderson was a Senior Manager in the Valuation Group of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Previously, he was a Senior Manager and Manager in the Valuation Services Group of Ernst & Young, and a Senior Consultant in the securities valuation unit of American Appraisal Associates, Inc., the nation’s largest appraisal firm. He has also been an Associate at Printon, Kane Research, Inc., and a Security Analyst at Value Line Inc.
